Many local businesses have mentioned a dramatic slowdown in consumer and business spending recently. Fears of bankrupcty are rising. These fears were reflected in an article in today’s Western Mail “Welsh economy hits soft patch as activity drops to an 18 month low“. Not the snappiest title but it says it all. On the ground many local firms are having to tighten their belts as customers seem to disappearing. It seems to be affecting all sectors of the economy.
