Assembly announces new Flexible Support for Businesses

Today marks the start of the Welsh Assembly’s new programme of support for businesses in Wales.  This programme is called Flexible Support for Businesses.   A key part of this support is a single investment fund which will replace existing capital funding such as Regional Selective Assistance.  This fund will have an initial pot of £92 million for investment into new and established companies in Wales.  For more information regarding funding for Welsh businesses please ring Business Connect in Llandarcy on 01792 817575

Business Connect helps innovative glass company

An interesting story has appeared in the Western Mail about one of our clients called World Glass Designs. This innovative company is based in Pontardawe and the founder Paul Richards has invented and patented a unique way of decorating glass. Ralph Gillies of Business Connect has helped Mr Richards to raise £500,000 to start the business and turnover is already at £2million and is set to rise sharply. Its great to see such an impressive success story about a Welsh inventor.

If you have an invention idea and you are based in the County of Neath Port Talbot then you can benefit from free confidential advice from Business Connect’s Innovation expert Dr Peter Hodges. Please ring us on 01792 817575.
